• Uniquely Handmade for You - a collective of local makers that create all kinds of things that are uniquely handmade!   You can find things from cookies, woodworking items, paintings, photography, glassworks, apparel and more!  Each visit is different with makers providing new creations regularly!
• Valley Cafe - a friendly family-owned restaurant known for its Diner food with a Gourmet Twist and a hint of Southern Roots!  My favorite right now is the Shrimp and Grit Cakes!
• Wadsworth Brewing Compay - a craft brewery that pushes flavor boundaries while also offering classic styles, utilizing locally grown ingredients.  They even offer a special infused brew each Thursday evening - make sure you get there early before it sells out!   I enjoy a River Styx Monster from time to time, a great double IPA with a monstrous flavor profile!   They also have great food - I love to pair the Balsamic Pub Chips with my River Styx Monster.
• Unwined - a casual cocktail, bourbon and wine bar offering all natural wines, craft cocktails and great food!   We love to ride our bikes down the Interurban Trail on a warm summer evening to share a Margarita Flight on their patio overlooking downtown.
• Ann's Pastry  - a locally owned tradition since 1959, I love their famous creamsticks!

North End: Featuring homes built in the 60's through the early 2000's with some new construction starting in adjacent Sharon Twp, this part of town offers easy access to Interstate 76 for commuting to Akron or Cleveland via St. Rt. 21 and shopping in the Great Oaks and North Commercial District.   You'll find all of your major fast food chains here, including McDonalds, Chipotle and Starbucks. Grocery shopping at Buehler's, with its unique grocery loading service - after you check out, drive up to the grocery loading area and they'll place your bags in the car!; Aldi - a budget based store with great unusal finds and Wal-Mart, the world's largest retailer.   Neigborhoods include:

• Weatherstone - a mixed use developement built in the early 2000's, includes single family residences, a small detached condo development and retail on the north edge of the development.  This development also features a clubhouse and in-ground pool for resident's use
• Great Oaks - residential homes built in the 60's and 70's with small condo developments (some 55 and over communities).   A small new development was built off Ashley Court in 2020.
• Tiberon Trace - one of Wadsworth's larger newer developments, featuring single family residential homes built in the early 2000's through 2014.

Southeastern Wadsworth - located on the edge of Summit and Wayne County, Southeastern Wadsworth has a mix of newer developments, mid-century homes and is located close to the Wadsworth High School/Middle School/(Soon to be Built Central Intermediate School) Campus.   The Wadsworth YMCA and Grizzly Pool are also located on the school campus.  The Blue Sky Drive-In, one of Northeast Ohio's few remaining drive in movie theatres is in this area as well along with one of my favorite BBQ Restaurants, Books BBQ.  Wadsworth Crossings a retail development featuring Target, Kohls, Five Below, Michaels and Lowes is nearby as well as Giant Eagle grocery store and pharmacy.   Neighborhoods in this area include:

• Meadows of Wintergreen - a mixed development of single-family residences and condominiums with a clubhouse for resident use with homes built in the early 2000's
• Bayberry Estates - a single family development with a clubhouse and in-ground pool for resident use with homes built in the early 200's
• Fieldcrest - a smaller single family development with homes built in the early 200's located adjacent to Bird St. park
• Wintergreen - a single family development located adjacent to the school campus with homes built in the mid to late 1990's
• Fawn Meadows - small single family development with mixed builders built in the early 2000's
• Mount Eaton Estates - Wadsworth's newest community with construction just underway, will feature 48 homes built by Pulte Homes

It starts with a world class parade and the lighting of a giant, twenty foot blue tip match which lights downtown Wadsworth during the festival's duration. The festival then offers attendants their choice of amusement rides, festival foods, midway games, contests, and other entertainment. The Festival begins on the first Tuesday after Father’s Day, and runs through Saturday.
• First Fridays - organized by Main St. Wadsworth, First Fridays are themed events that occur on the First Friday evening of each month.   A great way to see your neighbors, have fun and visit all of the shopes and restaurants in Downtown!
• Farmers Market - held each Saturday in Mid June through the end of September, the Farmer's market features local farms with fresh food and vegetables along with other local vendors.   I love to ride my bike down and  grab a donut and coffee from Ann's and browse all of the vendors!
